How?

The money from each sale goes towards funding waste collection, recycling infrastructure and other critical support in coastal communities in Indonesia where basic waste services are rare, and plastic ‘leakage’ into the ocean a huge problem.

They pledge to clean 10kg of ocean bound plastic with every belt. Nice !

Foam surfboards are notoriously bad for the environment, but Spooked Kooks are changing this! Their boards are made using post-consumer recycled plastic waste. This means the entire underside of the board, the leash-plug, fin-key and fins are all made from 100% recycled plastic.

To date, they’ve used over 7,000kg of recycled plastic waste in their boards!

Also - they’ve partnered with SeaTrees to offset their emissions. So each board plants at least one mangrove tree to mitigate the board's environmental impact. Yew !

All CC swimsuit linings are made from ECONYL, a regenerated nylon made from rescued fishing nets and nylon waste from landfills and oceans around the world. Also, the fabric printing is done locally in Sydney using sublimation - a digital printing method that eliminates water entirely from the dyeing process.
